4-vehicle crash on Parks Highway near Wasilla injures 4

WASILLA -- A four-vehicle accident on the Parks Highway at Mile 51 briefly closed both lanes of the highway and injured four people, one of them seriously, according to Matanuska-Susitna Borough emergency officials. Drivers should still expect delays. The accident, in the Meadow Lakes area west of Wasilla, was first reported around 11 a.m. Tuesday. One person, a man, was trapped in a vehicle. LifeMed Alaska was unable to fly to the scene due to weather.
