Man Takes Wild Ride In Back Of His Stolen ‘Puffer’ Pickup.

Lakewood police are searching for a suspect after a “puffer” pickup was stolen and then crashed into a van.

Lakewood police are searching for a suspect after a “puffer” pickup was stolen and then crashed into a van.

According to police, the owner of the pickup jumped into the bed of the truck as the suspect was driving away.

The incident began at approximately 6 a.m. Friday. A Ford pickup had been parked and left running in the driveway of West 5th Avenue. The suspect got in the truck and drove off, but not before the owner ran out of the house and jumped into the flat bed. The suspect crashed the stolen vehicle into a van owned by Jeremy Ramirez at 1st and Lowell.

The owner of the truck wasn’t injured.

Lakewood police are looking for the suspect. They said he fled in a green Dodge truck that was waiting for him near the scene of the crash.
