Woman fatally struck by vehicle in Cumming
A 71-year-old woman died after being hit by a vehicle in Cumming Thursday morning, police said.
Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office said Maria Vinci of Cumming was transported to the hospital after she was struck on Windermere Parkway at New Gate Drive.
Police said the driver of the vehicle that struck Vinci saw her in his lane as he reached the intersection and attempted to steer to the left while braking but was unable to avoid hitting her.
