Ind. radio host dies in motorcycle crash
An Indiana radio host died in a motorcycle accident Wednesday morning at the intersection of Old US 50 and CR 150 W in Daviess County, according to 24-Hour News 8′s sister station, WTHI.
Officials said Bradley Deetz was driving a 2008 Yamaha approaching the intersection of County Road 150 W. when a 1999 Chevy pickup, driven by Ernest Colbert, stopped at a stop sign.
Colbert said he looked both ways and did not see any oncoming traffic. As he pulled into the intersection heading south, Deetz’s Yamaha crashed into the passenger side of Colbert’s pickup.
Police said Deetz was thrown from the motorcycle. He was transported to Daviess Community Hospital and later flown to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis where he was pronounced dead.
Deetz was the morning show host on MAX 96.7 as well as the General Manager of DLC Media who managers and operates MAX 96.7 WFML owned by Vincennes University and owns and operates WAMW radio in Washington and WAXI in Rockville.
