1 Dead, 1 Injured after Motorcycle Crash in Otter Tail County

The crash happened at 4:27 p.m. on Otter Tail County Road 4 and 233rd Avenue near Pelican Rapids. The Otter Tail County Sheriff's office said 58-year-old David Marvel of Detroit Lakes was killed and 59-year-old David Kneip of Glyndon suffered life-threatening injuries. He was flown to a hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. The motorcycles were traveling together going west on County Road 4 when the they collided as one tried to make a left turn. Both riders were alone and not wearing helmets.

Sunday on County Road 4, northeast of Pelican Rapids, according the Otter Tail County Sheriff'€™s Office. Neither had on helmets, the Sheriff'€™s Office said. The Sheriff'€™s Office has yet to disclose which rider made the turn. According to the Sheriff'€™s Office, the motorcycles were heading west on County Road 4, when one of the riders decided to turn left onto 233rd Avenue, causing the collision. Two motorcycles riding side by side in western Minnesota collided, killing one of the riders and leaving the other fighting for his life, authorities said Monday.
