At 4:20 p.m., Robert W. Young, 69, of Valles Mines was driving a southbound 2017 Ford Escape and reportedly failed to yield to slowing traffic ahead, and the front of the SUV struck the rear of a southbound 2012 Ford Focus driven by Blake D. Thomas, 27, of Farmington.
