Larry Field, 35, killed in crash with 17-year-old woman, who is suspected of DUI, on U.S. 95 in Lincoln County, NV
Underage drinking suspected in fatal U.S. 93 crash
The Nevada Highway Patrol says underage drinking might be a factor in a crash late Sunday night in Lincoln County that killed one and injured three.
It was about 11:35pm when a car driven by a 17-year-old woman was heading south on U.S. 95 and veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with a car driven by Larry Field, 35, in which two other men, ages 18 and 34, were passengers. The collision sent the 17-year-old's car off of the roadway where it rolled over, and Field was killed while the three other people involved were injured and airlifted to the hospital.
After an injury car accident, take these steps to help the recovery process
When someone has been injured in a car crash, it's hard to know what to do to help. Injured people need appropriate medial treatment, but they also need to have their civil and legal rights protected.
After a serious crash, several steps need to be taken, including dealing with the insurance companies, tracking and documenting lost income from missed work, coordinating medical bill payments, and handling an insurance claim.
