Sylvester Cooper Jr., 90, and Elizabeth Carolyn Cooper, 91, killed in crash on June 10 on Oregon 22.

A 90-year old man involved in a Tuesday afternoon accident that killed his 91-year-old wife, died Wednesday of his injuries, police said.

Sylvester Cooper Jr., from Amity, was driving west on Oregon 22 when he signaled, slowed and then began to pull across the eastbound lane when his car was hit by a van.

Cooper's wfe, Elizabeth Carolyn Cooper, died at the scene, Lt. Gregg Hastings a spokesman for the Oregon State Police said. Sylvester was taken to Salem Hospital where he died the next day.

The van's driver, Jutta Wilson, 75, and a passenger, Marvin Wilson, 79, both of Dallas, were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Hasting said said.

Everyone was using seat belts, Hastings said.
