Coroner releases ID of pedestrian struck, killed in Orangeburg

A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on an Orangeburg highway Wednesday evening. Orangeburg Chief Deputy Coroner Sean Fogle said David Huggins, 76, of Orangeburg, died of blunt force injuries and head trauma from the crash. S.C. Highway Patrol Sgt. Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. Wednesday, a driver was headed north on U.S. 301 when she hit Huggins crossing the highway, walking east.
