SC driver dies after pickup truck crashes into tree and catches fire near Loris
The driver of a pickup truck was killed Sept. 11 after the vehicle struck a tree and caught fire. The driver was identified as Jarrod Johnson, 36, of Loris, according to the Horry County Coroner’s Office. He died on scene from both traumatic and thermal injuries, a press release from the coroner said.

Horry County Fire Rescue crews responded just before 10 a.m. on Sept. 11 to a wreck in the area of Adrian Highway and Hucks Road. That is near the Highway 701 and Highway 22 interchange.
