Police identify driver suspected in Bellevue hit-and-run
It happened at a Bellevue shopping center in the 200 block of Bellevue Way NE Saturday evening. Police say a man was backing out of a parking spot in a Jeep Grand Cherokee and pinned a man against another car, causing that man serious injuries, according to police.
The driver then forced the injured man into his Jeep and drove away, according to witnesses at the scene.
Bellevue firefighters located the victim Sunday morning and began treating him for a broken leg. Some time late the driver, identified by police as 43-year-old Jonathon J. Packard, was found and detained in Everett.
