State trooper injured after running into spike strips during chase on I-90 near Issaquah, WA
WSP trooper hits spike strip, crashes during pursuit
The suspect got away. Troopers have not released a description of the vehicle.
It was just before 8:00pm when a Washington State Patrol trooper was attempting to pull over a vehicle on I-90 for an unknown reason, and the vehicle did not pull over and fled west on the freeway. The trooper pursued the vehicle for 10 miles before other troopers put spike strips on the highway in an attempt to stop them. Unfortunately, the fleeing vehicle managed to avoid the spike strips, but the pursuing trooper struck them and crashed her patrol car into the median. The trooper was taken to the hospital but is expected to be okay.
After an injury car accident, take these steps to help the recovery process
When someone has been injured in a car crash, it's hard to know what to do to help. Injured people need appropriate medial treatment, but they also need to have their civil and legal rights protected.
After a serious crash, several steps need to be taken, including dealing with the insurance companies, tracking and documenting lost income from missed work, coordinating medical bill payments, and handling an insurance claim.
