Starla G. Wortley, 49, hospitalized after 2-vehicle crash on State Route 410 west of Naches, Washington
It was a tragic weekend on the roads of the Yakima Valley
Earlier Saturday evening, Starla G. Wortley, 49, of Puyallup was taken to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital when the pickup she was riding in was struck by a car on State Route 410 roughly 35 miles west of Naches. About 5:30 p.m., Craig Kilpatrick, 63, of Sandringham, New Zealand, was driving a 2016 Hyundai Sante Fe sedan east on 410 when he crossed the center line and struck a 2008 Dodge Ram pickup driven by 59-year-old Michael R. Wortley of Puyallup, according to a Washington State Patrol news release. Neither driver was injured, nor was a second passenger in Wortley’s pickup, the release said. Kilpatrick was cited for crossing the center line, the release said.

After a serious crash, several steps need to be taken, including dealing with the insurance companies, tracking and documenting lost income from missed work, coordinating medical bill payments, and handling an insurance claim.
