Jerrie Vanderhouwen, 78, is in critical condition following a two-car collision at the intersection of Ackerly Road and U.S. Highway 12 just outside of Yakima, Washington. The accident occured around 4:00 p.m. Monday afternoon, October 21, when Vanderhouwen did not yield at the intersection on Ackerly Road, causing his Buick and a Jeep, driven by Tyler M. Burns, 26, to collide. Burns was not injured in the crash, and Vanderhouwen was taken to Yakima Valley Memorial.
