On Christmas Day, Jordan Robinson of Easley was driving a 2003 Honda east on Breazeale Road at 5:20 p.m. about two miles south of Pickens when the vehicle ran off the roadway, struck a culvert, and finally overturned. Police said the driver wasn’t wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was brought to Baptist Easley Hospital, where he later died. Sarah Jennifer Hall, 34, of Port Clinton was driving westbound on Bay Shore near State when her Honda went off the right side of the road into the ditch, struck a utility pole, overturned, and finally came to rest its left side. Ohio Highway Patrol believes alcohol was a factor. Hall was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

While a neighbor claims that they heard a crash at about 2:00am, is wasn't until about 6:50am, an upside-down crashed vehicle was discovered off of Long Lake Road, with a deceased 40-year-old man inside. The cause of the crash has not been officially determined, but police discovered alcohol containers and a syringe in the vehicle, making DUI a definite possibile cause for this accident. We will update this accident as investigation continues and more information is released.

At about 4:30 a.m. at 4700 Boone near Bellaire, a driver lost control of their vehicle and veered from the road, crashing into a tree. The victim died at the scene. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.

One man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on S.C. 34 in Newberry County on Christmas Eve around 6 p.m. Wednesday, although the man wasn't found until Christmas Day around 7 a.m. when the man's sister found him after he didn't return home from a shopping trip Wednesday night. The vehicle was found down an embankment and due to darkness and rainy weather, no one located the car until daylight. The driver was Daniel Robert Britton, 53, of Chappells. Britton was traveling east on S.C.

Sean C. Byers, 23, of Moxee was headed west on I-86 near the Pocatello Airport at about 6:30 a.m. when his 2002 Ford Ranger departed the left shoulder of the road, rolled, and finally came to rest in the median, according to Idaho state police. Byers was pronounced dead at the scene, while his passenger, Laura E. Howell of Edgewood, Washington was trasnported to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello in unknown condition.

At about 9:00 am, Dempewolf was traveling east on Highway 12 when he veered off the right shoulder, overcorrected, and veered off the left shoulder before finally striking a rock. Dempewolf was hurt and taken to the hospital, though further details on his condition weren't available. The crash was likely simply caused by inattentive driving according to authorities, and Dempewolf will probably not be cited.

Four people were killed in an early-morning single-vehicle SUV accident on Interstate 95 in Sumter County near mile marker 141.  A Honda Pilot carrying seven people exited the roadway, and hit a guardrail and a tree in the median. The driver, Juan Escoboza Sr., Maria Tapia, Clarabel Montero, and Luis Alberto Tapia were killed. The cause of death for the four victims was blunt force trauma. The coroner reports the victims were driving to Florida to visit family for the holidays. Three other passengers in the SUV were injured.

Michael Taylor James was driving on Plant Road when he attempted to pass another vehicle bu instead struck it. The impact caused his own vehicle to leave the roadway and overturn. James suffered serious injuries and was transported to a hospital where he eventually died.

A 19-year-old male was driving on US 36 when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a wall, and then a tree. He sustained fatal injuries. No one else was involved in the accident.
