A school bus carrying children and two other vehicles collided this morning in Northeast Philadelphia. The yellow bus, white van and red SUV were involved in the chain-reaction wreck at Rhawn and Eastwood Streets around 9:45 a.m. At least nine injuries were reported including children on the bus. Philadelphia Police accident investigators desribced the injuries as mostly bumps and bruises. As SkyForce10 hovered overhead a short time later it appeared that the bus, operated by Philly-based Leahy Transportation, hit the back of the van, which hit the back of the SUV.

Actor and former "Saturday Night Live" cast member Chris Kattan was booked on suspicion of DUI after a crash early Monday on a SoCal freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol. The comedian was involved in a crash on the 101 Freeway with a road crew work truck, authorities said. No major injuries were reported after the 2 a.m. crash on the westbound side of the freeway in the Van Nuys area. The CHP received a 911 call regarding a driver swerving "all over the roadway" at slow speeds before the crash, according to a CHP crash report.

Five elementary school students were hospitalized after one school bus rear-ended another in Washtenaw County this morning. The Lincoln Consolidated Schools buses crashed at Whittaker and Bemis roads in Augusta Township about 8:42 a.m., according to a spokesman for the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office.

Another Cleveland school bus was involved in a minor accident Friday morning, the second accident involving a bus in two days. Cleveland Police dispatchers said a Cleveland Metropolitan City School District bus was carrying one child near West 69th Street and Dennison Avenue at 8:43 a.m. when a driver rear-ended the bus. Paramedics responded to the scene, but there were no reported injuries, dispatchers said.

An ambulance was called to the scene of an east side crash Thursday morning that involved a vehicle and an IndyGo bus. It happened in the area of 25th Street and East Ralston Avenue. Police say around 7:30 a.m., the bus and a Dodge Charger were both heading westbound on 25th Street. The driver of the Dodge told police he works overnight and was dozing off. Police say the driver hit the back of the bus without braking. The bus was stopped to pick someone up.

A Baltimore woman died from injuries sustained in a chain-reaction accident along Route 1 in Jessup Wednesday morning. According to Howard County Police, Rafaella Bonita Griffin, 39, of Cooks Lane in Baltimore, died Wednesday night after being taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center earlier in the day. Griffin's vehicle, a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta, was stopped at a traffic light on northbound Route 1, preparing to turn left into the Route 1 Shopping Center south of Kit Kat Road in Jessup, according to police.

Five people are being taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a bus crash in West Palm Beach, a city fire spokesman said. The crash involving a Palm Tran bus happened about 10:35 a.m. at Eucalyptus Street near Dixie Highway. The injured people are being taken to Good Samaritan hospital.

Indiana State Police dispatch says a man was killed Saturday night in a car crash. Police say around 11:30 p.m., the driver rear ended a car, went off the road and struck a tree on Interstate 74 west at the 139 mile marker in Decatur County. Michael Kees, II, 31, Shelbyville, was pronounced dead at the scene. No injuries were reported in the second car.

A Sumner County school bus was involved in a fatal crash Thursday afternoon as it dropped a student off at a bus stop. The bus had recently left Bethpage Elementary School before the wreck on Highway 31. The bus had nine students on board when it had its flashing lights on, stop sign out and door open to let a child off, according to Sumner County Sheriff's Office investigators. A truck hauling a trailer then rear-ended the bus. The driver of the truck, 55-year-old David Trembly, of Scottsville, KY, was killed in the collision.

A school bus has been involved in an accident in Franklin Township Thursday afternoon. Dispatchers said the accident happened in the 7400 block of Franklin-Madison Road around 4 p.m. Ohio State Patrol Troopers were at the scene and one car hit another and that car rear-ended the school bus. A district official said the school bus belongs to the Madison Local School District. The Madison Local Schools, said there were six students on the bus at the time of the accident. The accident happened toward the end of the route and another bus was called to the scene.
