A school bus was driving on Dolphin Road and Hayes Road just before 3 p.m. when an elderly struck the bus on the side with her vehicle. No injuries were reported. The woman was apparantly not aware that she had struck the bus, believing a rock had flown up and hit her side mirror. There were 41 students onboard at the time of the crash.

A 78-year-old Charles O'Dell was leaving a retirement community when he pulled out in front of a school bus. The bus was being driven by the mayor of the town, Dennis Stripling. There were no children on the bus.

The minivan crossed the southbound lanes of South Independence Boulevard, but continued into the northbound lanes and was hit by a school bus driving northbound on South Independence Boulevard. The bus struck a light pole. The collision then caused the minivan to hit a 1996 Ford F-150 pickup truck that was stopped at the stop sign on Silverleaf Drive.

While Robert H. Frost was killed in the rear-end collision, the students on the bus and driver were either unscathed or sustained only minor injuries.

An adult bicyclist, later identified as Neil Kelty, 23, was killed this morning after being struck by a school bus on the Northside. The crash was reported at Westlane and Ditch roads shortly before 7:30 a.m., just north of Westlane Middle School, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police. The Indianapolis Public Schools bus was operated Bessie Smith, 72, Indianapolis, a driver with Durham School Services, police said. No children were on the bus, according to IMPD Sgt. Kendale Adams.

Two people are dead following a chain-reaction crash involving a school bus. The crash happened on Dunn Avenue and New Kings Road. The Florida Highway Patrol said a school bus with 14 students from Dinsmore Elementary School stopped with its lights flashing, dropping kids off. A black car and white SUV were stopped behind the bus. FHP said a semi truck driver didn't see the stopped cars in time to stop. He swerved to try to avoid the crash but couldn't. Four children were taken to UF Health, as well as the school bus driver.

Eleven students on the bus were transported to Jewish Hospital South and released after a wreck that occured at about 6:30 a.m. at Preston Highway and Belmont Road just east of Fort Knox. An 86-year-old man drove into the back of a school bus that had stop to pick up students in Bullitt County. The man later died of his injuries. None of the students suffered serious injuries.

Authorities say an 86-year-old woman has died after a collision involving a school bus in the Grand Rapids area. Ione Potter of Cannonsburg died in the crash, which happened Monday afternoon in Kent County's Cannon Township. The Rockford Public Schools bus was making a turn at the time and had five or six Cannonsburg Elementary School students on board. They weren't injured.
