The Minnesota State Patrol is identifying the four people killed Friday near Sleepy Eye on icy roads. It happened on Highway 14 in Brown County just after 8 p.m. A 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix was headed westbound on Highway 14, going into a curve heading southbound, when it lost control and entered into the opposite lane of traffic. It was hit broadside by a 1999 Dodge Ram headed northbound into the curve.

A man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants after a single-vehicle crash on state Highway 14 Saturday night. Charles Graves, 54, whose residence is unknown, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu west on the highway when his vehicle crashed and rolled just west of Lieser Road. When the Malibu came to rest, it was partially blocking one of the lanes and responding personnel blocked both westbound lanes of the highway for a brief period of time, Finn said.

A Battle Ground man running late for a court hearing was driving and talking on his cell phone when he left state Highway 14, crossed another street and then crashed into a fence Thursday morning, according to Washington State Patrol.

Victor Gensitskiy, 25, was driving west on the highway, headed toward Clark County Superior Court where he was late for a court hearing, according to a W.S.P. Trooper.

“He was on the phone with the court asking to reschedule when they told him no,” the trooper said said.

A crash between a van and a semi truck on Highway 14 in Rutland Tuesday morning killed one driver and injured another, according to a release from the Dane County Sheriff's Office.

The van crossed the centerline while driving north on Highway 14 near Highway 92, hitting the semi truck head on at 10:45 a.m. The 27-year-old driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the semi, Phillip Parker, 33, of Baraboo, was taken to a hospital for minor injuries.

The identity of the driver who was killed hasn't yet been released.

A rollover crash on state Highway 14 near Cape Horn injured a Washougal resident late Friday night, according to Washington State Patrol. Steven and Chantell Heupel were traveling west on Highway 14 when the 2000 Subaru Legacy they were in rolled and came to rest on its top after Steven Heupel, who was driving, lost control, according to police. Chantell Heupel, 20, was injured and transported to Peace Health Southwest Medical Center. Steven Heupel, 22, was not injured. Both were wearing seat belts, police said.
