A Scion driven by a woman with two men as passengers, all believed to be in their late 20's, was westbound on I-16 at about 3:35 a.m. when it was struck from behind by a tanker truck driven by Christopher Hinson, 56. The force of the crash sent both vehicles into the median, and killed all three occupants of the Scion. They have now been identified as Nicholas Ray Price, 23, Ricardo Jason Dewberry, 28, and Beverly Mclain Baird, 27. Hinson sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital, though his condition remains unknown. 61-year-old William Gainey was driving a pickup truck on Cypress Gardens Boulevard at about 10:30 p.m. when he failed to slow down for the stop light at the intersection with Lake Ruby Drive and rear-ended a car. Both vehicles were propelled about 150 feet from the collision site, and Gainey's truck flipped onto its roof. The two people in the car that was rear-ended were identified as a father and his son, Christopher and Jayden Ivey, ages 39 and 4. Both were found dead at the scene. Gainey was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries.

At approximately 7:18 p.m., New York State Police responded to a two-car personal injury auto accident that occurred on Interstate 684. Investigation revealed that a maroon 2005 Buick Rendezvous, operated by Israel N. Albarracin, age 37, of Danbury, Connecticut, was traveling north on Interstate 684.  The Rendezvous struck a northbound 2011 Subaru Legacy, operated by 27-year-old Raymond P. Finney, of Carmel, in the rear passenger side quarter panel.

Elmer Alexander Ayala-Duarte was allegedly driving drunk on Highway 29 at about 100 mph when he rear-ended a slower moving car with two people inside. The force of the impact crumpled the entire backend of the car up to the front seats and pushed the two vehicles off the road. Ayala-Duarte walked away from the wreck and attempted to leave the scene but was quickly found by a police dog.
