Suspected drunken driver chased down by MPD horses

The chase started when the two mounted patrol unit officers were waiting for a walk light Tuesday night, police said. The mounted patrol units stopped Jason J. Pollock, 37, of Sun Prairie, just off Stoughton Road around 6:50 p.m., according to a release. They were about to cross Stoughton Road when a pickup truck turned in front of them. A Sun Prairie man faces drunken driving charges after hopping a curb, causing a chain reaction hit-and-run crash and being chased down by two Madison Police Department horse patrol units, officials said. The impact started a chain reaction crash that caused two other parked vehicles to crash into each other, police said.
