An 11-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was struck by a car near the intersection of Rice Street and W. Hoyt Avenue in St. Paul on Monday morning. 6th grader Bikram Phuyel suffered a severe head injury when he was struck while crossing Rice Street. According to police, he was walking to school at the time, but was not in a crosswalk. He was taken to Regions Hospital. "They just tell us he's got blood in the brain," a family member told Fox 9. "It needs to be removed ASAP. There's no injury below the neck. Nothing broken."

Nearly $44,000 has been raised for a 26-year-old woman critically injured in a hit-and-run collision in St. Paul, Minnesota. Sophia Bouwens of St. Paul is still in critical condition at Regions Hospital after Monday night’s crash, which occurred at the intersection of North Cypress Street and Sixth Street East. Police say the driver left the scene of the crash. The crash is under investigation, and anyone with information is urged to call local authorities.

Gunnar Miller, 19, of Eagan, died Tuesday night following a skateboard crash in St. Paul, Minnesota. The accident occured around 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 14 at Carroll and Prior avenue when Miller asked a driver at a stop sign if he could hold their car mirror to go "skitching", a slang term for holding on to a car while skate boarding down the road. Miller travelled a short distance when he fell and hit his head on the pavement. Miller was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Miller was taken to Regions Hospital with a severe head injury, where he later died.

A 51-year-old Minneapolis bicyclist is still in critical condition after a crash involving a sport-utility vehicle at the corner of Snelling and Summit Avenues on Saturday morning. St. Paul police identified the man Sunday as David Joseph Wuest. The department said it continues to investigate the incident and that no further information is expected until at least Monday.

Six people, including three children, were seriously hurt after a major accident involving at least two vehicles in St. Paul on Wednesday, St. Paul Police say. The crash was reported near Maryland Avenue East and Johnson Parkway around 8:45 p.m. St. Paul police say 23-year-old Jim Xion was driving with one passenger. According to police, Xion collided with 44-year-old Tou Lee, who had his three children in the car. Lee and his 10-year-old son were ejected. All victims were taken to Regions Hospital and were in serious condition when they arrived Wednesday, police said.

A St. Paul woman was charged with assault Monday after a man who tried to prevent her from driving drunk was injured after jumping onto the hood of her car as she drove toward him. Felicia Remmen, 36, was charged in Ramsey County District Court with first- and second-degree assault in the incident in which Ronny Gray Jr., 25, was thrown from the moving vehicle and sustained head injuries. He was listed in fair condition at Regions Hospital on Monday after improving from critical condition. According to the complaint:
