Vincente Plagcencia was driving his silver Lexus southbound on Interstate 5 in Salem around 1 a.m. Tuesday when it is believed that the Lexus may have been rear-ended by a semi-truck near milepost 253. Oregon State Patrol officials said the semi-truck driver didn't stop, and may not even be aware that the crash occurred. Anyone with information on this incident is urged to contact Trooper Eli Breen at 503-375-3555.

A 16-year-old boy was taken to the hospital in critical condition Wednesday after being hit by a car while jogging. The accident occured around 6:48 p.m. on October 22 on Swegle Road Northeast, next to Cordno Road Northeast. When the collision happened, it was dark and heavily raining, and the boy was wearing all black with no reflective gear. The driver remained at the scene.

Pedestrian Daniel Nelson, 63, was hit and injured by SUV driver Myung Lee, 72, while merging from the center turn lane of Hayesville Drive NE in Salem, Oregon Monday. Nelson's injuries were not life threatening.

"As many as seven vehicles including a semi truck with tanker were involved in the crash," the Oregon Department of Transportation announced. "Motorists should avoid the area and find an alternative route." Initial reports from Oregon State Police indicated that two people died in the crash, but that was later revised to one person killed.

A small pickup was heading northbound on I-5 in heavy rain conditions when it collided with a commercial vehicle. The pickup then crossed the median where it collided head-on with a vehicle driven by Steven Fritz, who was declared dead at the scene. A 64-year old female passenger, whose identity has not yet been released, was critically injured. The pickup driver was transported to a hospital in Salem with unknown injuries. Fritz's zebra-striped Sentra, known by its "ZENTRA" license plate and distinct paint job, was recognized by several people after pictures of the crash emerged.

The truck and trailer were left hanging over the bridge railing above the waterway after the crash. The load the truck was carrying spilled over the railing, and an estimated 100 gallons of diesel leaked into the river. Sheridan was cited for careless driving and failing to drive within a lane, and was then taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Photos of the stolen Jeep Cherokee Ramos-Perez was driving were captured by a red-light camera as the driver drove away, and police identified the vehicle license number and had a photo of the driver.
