The Ohio State Highway Patrol in Athens is investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle that occurred Saturday afternoon.
At about 3:11 p.m. Saturday, troopers responded to the crash on Stage Coach Road just north of Ervin Road in Athens County.
The preliminary investigation reveals that Mike Lewis Thomas, 54, of Athens, was driving a 2001 Suzuki motorcycle northbound on Stage Coach Road when he drove left of center, striking an oncoming 2006 Toyota Sienna van driven by Cheryl W. Vanhook, 46, of Athens.
Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a crash that occurred in Hocking County Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Athens post of the Patrol the crash occurred on Bremen Road at 4 p.m.
Ralph T. Argue, 72, of Lancaster was operating a motorcycle in the southbound lanes of Bremen Road when he went off the right side of the road and struck a tree, according to police.

First responders said the pilot, Charles Wagner, 73, Athens County, was the only person in the small four person single engine aircraft.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating and Federal Aviation Administration investigators have been dispatched to the scene as well.
Troopers are investigating a crash in Athens County that killed a man.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at about 12:48 a.m. Sunday, 41-year-old David Schoolcraft, of Athens, was driving a Ford Mustang northbound on County Road 19, when he lost control of his vehicle and drove off the left side of the road.
The car then struck a tree and flipped, ejecting Schoolcraft.
Schoolcraft was transported to O’Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens where he later died from his injuries, according to troopers.
A 32-year-old McArthur man was injured when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree in Athens County Monday morning.
According to the Athens post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on U.S. 50 at about 10:28 a.m. Monday.
Troopers said Charles F. Wallace IV, 32, of McArthur, was driving a 1996 GMC Sonoma eastbound on U.S. 50 when he drove off the left side of the road and struck a tree.
Wallace was flown to Cabel-Huntington Hospital with a serious injury to the head.

The crash occurred on County Road 33 in Athens County at about 10:21 a.m. Thursday.
According to the Athens Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling eastbound on C.R. 33 while another vehicle was traveling westbound.
Troopers said the first vehicle lost control in a curve and slid off the right side of the roadway, over-corrected, and slid left of center, striking the second vehicle.
