An unidentified man was driving a pickup truck east on I-20 in Arlington when he failed to slow down for a semi-truck in front of him, and collided with its rear, at around 9:50 a.m. The man was found dead at the scene of the crash, but no one else sustained any injuries. We will add more details to this accident as they become available.

A man is dead after a vehicle collision Friday evening in Aiken County. The incident occured on I-20 eastbound. The man has been identified as Carl Furillo Polite Jr., 40. Authorities reported that Polite's vehicle rear-ended the back of a car in front of him, causing that vehicle to run off the highway and hit the guardrail. The driver and passengers came out with minor injuries. Polite's car rolled over and was thrown from the vehicle onto the interstate and hit by an unknown vehicle that did not stop. We will update this story as more information becomes available.

According to officials with the Pearl Police Department, an accident happened this morning at I-20 and Pearson Road. According to Pearl police, two single cab trucks collided. One truck rear-ended the other coming down the I-20 West exit ramp. The driver in the vehicle that rear-ended the truck was airlifted to UMC. His truck leaked oil and gas, and caught fire while he was inside. Firefighters had to cut him out of his truck. Crews were cleaning up the spilled chemicals. There is no word on his injuries.
