Investigators said the Polite overturned, and the driver was a ejected into the roadway then an unknown vehicle hit Polite and did not stop. 

Truck driver sought after fatality

South Carolina police are seeking a tanker truck driver who left the scene after striking a man left lying on Interstate 20 after an earlier wreck Friday night.
A man is dead after a vehicle collision Friday evening in Aiken County. The incident occured on I-20 eastbound. The man has been identified as Carl Furillo Polite Jr., 40. Authorities reported that Polite's vehicle rear-ended the back of a car in front of him, causing that vehicle to run off the highway and hit the guardrail. The driver and passengers came out with minor injuries. Polite's car rolled over and was thrown from the vehicle onto the interstate and hit by an unknown vehicle that did not stop.
