Shortly after 3:00pm, a car driven by a 94-year-old man rear-ended a Ford sedan and then spun into a Chevrolet. The 94-year-old man was killed, and his 86-year-old wife was injured but is stable. Neither of the other drivers were seriously hurt.

Nine people have been injured, two of which are seriously injured, following a six-car pileup near Alice Drive and Westmark Boulevard in Sumter, South Carolina. It is unknown why the crashes occured, and the incident is being investigated.

As soon as the Parikhs saw that the man who hit them was unresponsive, they began CPR and called 911. The man eventually became responsive in a Parsippany Volunteer Ambulance Squad Rig and was transported to Saint Clare's Hospital. Dhinoj Parikh believes the man had gone into cardiac arrest before he crashed. “I think it’s good to hit doctor’s car,” Parikh said. “I am happy we were there at that moment to help him through. If you can help somebody you should.”

The driver involved in a multi-vehicle accident in College Station late this morning has died. According to the College Station Police Department, 50-year-old Clifford Degner from Caldwell was having serious medical issues when his pick-up truck struck the back of a Lexus sedan causing the two vehicles to become stuck together. When the car turned right on New Main Drive, the two vehicles detached. Witnesses say Degner was slumped over the wheel. His truck hit a tree, fence and brick wall at the front entrance of campus, before coming to a stop.
