Dallas-Ft. Worth, TXAt least two people are dead and several more injured after a wreck along a busy stretch of Oak Cliff Saturday afternoon.
It happened just after 2:00 p.m. near the intersection of Jefferson Blvd. and Rosemont Avenue.
It's unclear what led up to the crash or how a white vehicle and a black vehicle came into contact with each other. Both were headed westbound on Jefferson Blvd. and both hit a lamp post along the divided roadway.
Residents in the area who arrive after the accident said as many as three people and a child were in the white vehicle. The driver of that vehicle died at the scene.

Atlanta, GAFour people were injured in a school bus accident in Atlanta Friday morning.
The accident happened on Interstate 75 north at Howell Mill Road.
Police said a vehicle apparently crossed three lanes of traffic and collided with the bus.
The bus was carrying 38 Henry County students to the Governor's Mansion for a performance.
Four students complained of minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
The remaining students will return back to the school instead of proceeding to their choral performance.

Louisville, KYA car traveling west on I-64 near mile marker 106 struck a sport utility vehicle traveling east, and the driver of the car and a passenger in the SUV were killed. The 2-year-old girl was identified as Merissa Summers. The coroner said he wasn't releasing the name of the sailor, who is based in Virginia, because his family had not been notified.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNTwo children were killed, and three other people were hurt after a truck and an SUV collided yesterday in Oak Grove Township at the interesection of Hwy. 35 and 468th Ave.
An 11-year-old girl in the SUV died at the scene and another passenger -- a five-year-old girl -- died later at a hospital. The crash happened about 3:40 yesterday afternoon.

Tuesday, December 10, 2013A 2-month-old child and a pair of adults dodged death when a passing driver clipped their car on an icy road near Klamath Falls on Wednesday and sent both vehicles flying into an irrigation canal, police said.
Howard Kingman, of Sisters, was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe north on U.S. 97 around 1:05 p.m. when he tried to pass a Toyota Prius near milepost 264, Oregon State Police said.
The 70-year-old driver lost control on the icy roadway and struck the Prius, which carried Robert Burton, 56, Bree Burton, 20, and her infant son, police said.

Chicago, ILA child was critically injured and four other people were also hurt in a multi-vehicle crash on the Chicago Skyway late Wednesday afternoon.
At least two semi trucks and three other vehicles collided about 4:30 p.m. in the inbound lanes of the Skyway (I-90) near 68th Street, according to police and unconfirmed dispatch reports.
Five ambulances were called to the scene, and paramedics took a child and four adults to hospitals, a Fire Media Affairs spokesman said.
The child was taken in serious-to-critical condition to University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital.

San Diego, CAA woman and her small daughter died Tuesday when their SUV smashed into the back of a grocery store delivery truck on north Interstate 5 south of the Orange County line.
Many drivers who witnessed the crash or saw the wreckage right after were distraught, one woman posted on Twitter.
Northbound traffic was halted for nearly an hour. Even after two lanes opened, the backup worsened and extended as far south as Oceanside Boulevard.

Oklahoma City, OKOklahoma City police said a crash that killed a father of four young children was caused by a man who was high on drugs. Oklahoma City police said Dustin Hall, 31, caused a crash Monday night near NE 10th and N. Standish. According to officers, Hall was high on drugs and admitted to looking down at his phone. Ronald Banton, 27, was killed in the crash. His 5-year-old son JaeRon was in the car with him but was not hurt. Hall was arrested and police said he could be charged with second-degree murder.

San Diego, CAA woman and a child were hit by a car in Bay Terraces Monday morning.
The pair were walking on Paradise Valley Road near Deep Dell Road when they were struck about 7:10 a.m., San Diego police said.
Witnesses said the woman and the child were thrown onto the hood of the car and then up and over, police said. Both victims were hospitalized.
The driver of the vehicle stopped. Police are investigating and have not said what caused the crash.
Officers are conducting traffic control in the area.

Pittsburgh, PAThe Allegheny County medical examiner's office this morning identified a woman killed in a single-vehicle crash on Bigelow Boulevard Sunday night that also injured a child.
Nicole Albright, 22, of Pittsburgh, died in the crash in the 2200 block of Bigelow just after 9 p.m., a supervisor from that office said.
The crash shut down the road between Interstate 579 and Herron Avenue and rerouted traffic, Allegheny County emergency dispatchers said.
Rescue crews cut a 2-year-old girl from the vehicle. She was transported to UPMC Mercy, treated and released, the station reported.
