Monday, September 15, 2014A person putting gas into a vehicle parked in the shoulder of I-10 was struck by the overhanging roof of a tractor-trailer and killed. The accident report states the tractor, driven by Timothy Chancy, drove off and left the scene. Police say the truck driver didn't realize he had hit anyone and kept going.

New Orleans, LAThe New Orleans Police Department says it's close to making an arrest in Sunday's deadly hit-and-run accident on the Interstate 10 Highrise.
Police say it happened shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday. Danielle Rhone, 29, and her nephew, 2-year-old Kaedan Body, both died.
According to police, the car Rhone was driving stalled near the top of the Highrise due to mechanical problems.
