Troopers say 50-year-old Steven Covert of West Richland was killed Tuesday night on State Route 224 near Kingston Road. Covert was hit by 33-year-old Natalie Lincoln at around 8pm. Lincoln was driving her Taurus eastbound heading over the Van Giesen Bridge when she hit Covert's Grand Am, and also totaled another driver's Subaru Outback. Three people were injured from the accident including a 15 year old juvenile who was a passenger in Covert's car.What money damages are recoverable in a death claim?

A Deming man was killed in an ATV crash on a gravel road in woods north of the Mount Baker Highway. The Bellingham Herald reports it's not clear when the crash occurred but the body of 45-year-old Scott Allen Monaghan was found Monday morning. The Washington State Patrol says it appears he drove around a corner too fast. The ATV hit a tree stump and crashed down a 20-foot embankment.
