An ATV rider was found dead Monday morning, June 10, after crashing over a 20-foot-tall embankment in the Deming area, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The Bellingham Herald reports it's not clear when the crash occurred but the body of 45-year-old Scott Allen Monaghan was found Monday morning. The Washington State Patrol says it appears he drove around a corner too fast. The ATV hit a tree stump and crashed down a 20-foot embankment.
