An couple was killed after being hit by an SUV in southeastern Wisconsin. Oscar and Vernetta Lang, both 83, were killed after being hit at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday. The couple was leaving Mass at St. Louis Catholic Church in Caledonia when the collision occured. Two nurses who were attending Mass engaged in life-saving efforts while waiting for paramedics to arrive.  The SUV driver, a 32-year-old Caledonia woman, was not injured, nor where her passengers.

A 31-year-old Racine man is charged in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian. Charges allege that Bradley Hayek was driving of a car that hit a man Thursday night in Racine. Hayek then fled the crash site. The victim, 45-year-old Robert Castaneda, died at a nearby hospital. Hayek was arrested just a few blocks from the site. He faces charges, including homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and bail jumping charges.

Genie Webb and he 3 year old daughter Lydia were passing through a crosswalk when they were struck by a passing vehicle. Webb, who was 38 weeks pregnant at the time, threw her daughter to safety and fortunately suffered only a minor ankle injury. Her baby was delivered by Casarean section and is doing fine. Police are searching for the vehicle that hit her, a late model gray SUV. Anyone with information is asked to call 262-635-7768.

The boy was crossing Washington Avenue on foot when an SUV hit him and threw him into the westbound lane. His condition is not currently known, but witnesses say he was bleeding from the head and having issues breathing. A 29-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash Sunday morning in the Racine County town of Waterford.

A passer-by in the 37000 block of Hill Valley Road found the man shortly before 3 a.m., the Racine County Sheriff's Department reported.

The victim was not wearing a helmet, and lifesaving efforts at the scene failed, the Sheriff's Department said.

The man, a resident of the Town of Waterford, has not yet been identified publicly.

A snowmobiler crashed into a tree on a trail in Kansasville Thursday night, leaving the driver unconscious with serious head injuries, according to a release from the Racine County Sheriff's Office. The incident occurred about 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 11 and Highway 75. The driver, who was wearing a helmet, missed a curve, went off trail and was ejected toward the tree. He had to be flown to Froedtert Hospital via Flight for Life. Speed and alcohol were believed to be factors.

State Sen. Kathleen Vinehout, a likley candidate for the Democratic nomination for governor, was injured in a crash Sunday morning on I-94 in Racine County. Vinehout was traveling to Milwaukee. Vinehout (D-Alma) had just canceled events in Racine and Kenosha as a snowstorm hit the region. Media has reported that she has possibly suffered an arm injury. The storm caused crashes on virtually every major thoroughfare in the region Sunday, with several multiple-vehicle pile-ups reported. The crash in Racine County forced the closure of eastbound I-94 for much of the day.

Following a fiery crash in Racine, Wisconsin, two people were taken to the hospital. The incident occured Friday morning, October 10, when their vehicle collided with a light pole on Main Street Bridge and sent their car through a garage door at an apartment complex. The vehicle flipped over and caught fire inside the garage. The injuries of the two inside the car are unknown at this time.
