Indianapolis, INAn Anderson woman was injured Wednesday morning after a snowmobile she was on crashed. Police say the driver was drunk.
Indiana conservation officers responded to the 20400 block of Creek Road in Noblesville for a crash around midnight Wednesday. Upon investigation, police say Joel Hackleman, 42, of Noblesville, was driving the snowmobile and drove into a ditch. Hackleman was ejected. His passenger, Rebecca Benson, 32, was over the handlebars of the vehicle.
Benson was taken to St. Vincent Hospital for a serious leg injury.

New Orleans, LAA motorist from Jefferson died Monday night from injuries he received in a three-pickup-truck crash on Louisiana 25 near Folsom, authorities said. A driver from Mount Hermon was booked with vehicular homicide, DWI and improper lane usage.
The victim was identified by State Police as Gary White, 66. He died at LSU Interim Public Hospital in New Orleans. The other drivers were not injured, police said.

Dallas-Ft. Worth, TXTwo Irving Police officers escaped injury Tuesday night after a woman driving the wrong way at high speeds hit them along State Highway 161.
Irving officers were notified around 11:20 p.m. that a woman was driving the wrong-way – travelling south in the northbound lanes of the turnpike near State Highway 114.
While one group of officers pursued her at speeds of up to 80 miles per hour in the southbound lanes, another officer approached the suspect in the northbound lanes and was struck by the woman’s SUV near Conflans Road in Irving.

Boston, MAA Rhode Island woman allegedly drove some 5 miles in the wrong direction on the Southeast Expressway early today and slammed into two vehicles including a snowplow, officials said.
She is scheduled to appear in court here today on charges of operating under the influence and leaving the scene of the two crashes, according to State Police.
Brenda Jarillo, 33, was arrested by State Police in Dorchester near Exit 12 around 3:30 a.m. today after she had driven in the wrong compass direction since being involved in a crash near Exit 8 in Quincy, officials said.

Hartford & New Haven, CTAdam Lincoln was driving on Hillside Drive at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle, it left the roadway, and crashed into a tree. One passenger died and another seriously injured. Lincoln's blood-alcohol level was found to be more than twice the legal limit. He was sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison for second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle, second degree-assault, operating under the influence, traveling unreasonably fast and failure to maintain the proper lane.

New York, NYAn off-duty cop was charged with driving drunk after he got into an accident in Queens, police said Monday.
Officer Albert Robles, 37, was charged with driving while intoxicated.
He allegedly crashed into another car 7:10 a.m. Sunday at 47th Ave. and 69th St. in Woodside.
Police said there were no injuries.

Everett-Bellingham WATwo men were injured when their pickup truck went off Blaine Road, sliding into a ditch and hitting an embankment early Monday, Feb. 3. David L. Rebman, 43, was driving a 1975 pickup truck southbound on Blaine Road toward Shipyard Road when it veered off the road about 12:08 a.m. Rebman and passenger Colin J. Golden, 25, were transported to St. Joseph hospital. Rebman was treated and discharged, and Golden remained hospitalized in stable condition as of Monday. Golden was not wearing a seatbelt. It was unclear if Rebman wore a seat belt.

Buffalo, NYA man who was driving the wrong way on the Niagara Thruway for several miles early Monday morning and then struck a roadside construction crane is facing charges of drunken driving, according to Lewiston Police.
Douglas P. Pytlik Jr., 32, of Linwood Avenue, North Tonawanda, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated and reckless driving.

Saturday, February 1, 2014A Dover man was arrested Sunday after police in Middletown said he drove drunk, crashed a stolen vehicle into the Hurst building on South Union Street and then fled the scene of the crash.
Rueben Jason Estrada, 30, of the 3300 block of Village Court Drive, was arrested in the vicinity of a 7-11 store on East Main Street after the incident occurred around 2 a.m., police said.
The crash caused serious damage to the building, located at 29 South Union Street, according to authorities. Estrada also did not have permission to drive the vehicle involved in the incident, police said.

Saturday, February 1, 2014Newport News Police have charged a mother with DWI after a crash Sunday night.
Newport News Police stated that officers were dispatched to the area of 48th Street and Roanoke Avenue around 9:40 p.m. for a report of a possible accident. There, they found a vehicle in the bushes surrounding a cell tower on the south side of 48th Avenue.
Eley said the driver and her three children were in the middle of the intersection. All were cleared medically but the driver had an odor of alcohol.
