An El Mirage woman accused of drunken driving and leaving the scene of an accident had her 7-year-old son in the vehicle when she was arrested early Saturday morning, police said. Tiffany Pemberton, 31, of El Mirage, faces several charges, including aggravated DUI, aggravated assault, endangerment and hit-and-run with injuries. The hit-and-run accident occurred just after midnight Saturday in the area of 107th and Olive avenues. The two occupants of the other vehicle were injured but are expected to be OK. Pemberton fled the scene and half-a-mile later, ran out of gas.

The Florence County Sheriff's Office says a De Pere man has died in a snowmobile crash in northeastern Wisconsin. The accident happened just before 2 a.m. Saturday in the Town of Tipler. Authorities say the snowmobile went off a road and hit a tree. The victim was identified as 48-year-old Russell Krause of De Pere. Officials say he was wearing a helmet at the time, but died on impact. The sheriff's office says alcohol and speed were contributing factors in the crash.

Joshua Kopp of McFarland was consuming alcohol on January 31st, 2014, before he crashed his pickup truck into a tree on Vilas Hope Road near County Road BB. The Dane County Sheriff's Office says that Kopp’s cellphone records indicate that Joseph W. Jobe of Cottage Grove supplied Kopp and other minors with alcohol the night of the crash, and Jobe was arrested on February 19th, 2015.

A woman is under arrest after a hit and run accident that killed two Bard College students Friday night in the Dutchess County village of Tivoli. It happened at about 11:50 p.m. in the area of Route 9G and Broadway. Investigators say the students were among three people hit while they were walking northbound on 9G. The victims have been identified as 20-year old Evelina Martin Brown of Seattle, Washington and 19-year old Sarah McCausland of Winnetka, Illinois. The vehicle involved left the scene and was located by deputies a short time later, according to police.

A suspected drunken driver was arrested after a 45-year-old man died in a traffic crash early Thursday morning in northeast Houston. The two-vehicle wreck happened about 2 a.m. in the 600 block of Maxey at Wood Bayou, according to the Houston Police Department. Police said the killed driver was in a green Nissan Altima southbound on Maxey when he collided with a northbound, white Ford F-150 pickup. The pickup driver, police added, was turning left onto Wood Bayou but failed to yield the right-of-way to the Nissan.

Jeremy Green was driving on Happy Valley Road at night when a car driven by 40-year-old Maria Gonzalez struck him head-on. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Gonzalez was flown to Vanderbilt for treatment of injuries.

What felt like a "massive earthquake" was actually the impact of a car crashing through the wall of an Orange County home early Wednesday morning just a few feet from a startled family member. The driver, a man in his 20's, was arrrested for suspicion of DUI, according to Costa Mesa Police. "Our room was just filled with dust and debris, and I thought we were having a massive earthquake and the house was falling apart," the homeowner said. The homeowner said he didn't realize a car was involved until neighbors knocked on his door and he walked outside.

A driver, whose vehicle veered off the road and plunged through brambles into a creek front first, had to be extricated in a tricky emergency operation. The car dove into the creek in the 6700 block of 35th Avenue Northeast, north of Keizer, about 10:30 a.m. Fire crews were called to the scene to rescue the driver, who was trapped in the vehicle. Before they could get him out of the car, they had to clear the tangle of brush from the hillside. Crews used ladders to climb down to the car. Within 10 minutes, emergency personnel got him out.

A school bus driver was swaying with poor balance and smelling of alcohol when Winona County authorities responded to a crash. The bus, with five children on board, had gone off the wrong side of Fern Valley Road near Altura and crashed into trees. Karl A. Herber, 54, of Rollingstone, Minn., was charged with three counts of drunken driving and child endangerment after registering a .09 blood-alcohol level when tested more than two hours after the crash Tuesday afternoon, the Winona County Chief Deputy.

Police said one person has died in a head-on crash following a wrong-way driver's trip down U.S. 75. Richardson police were following a wrong-way driver in a silver Nissan Murano who was headed southbound in the northbound lanes of U.S. 75/Central Expressway around 4 a.m. Monday. Police say the Murano driver clipped a vehicle traveling northbound in the 9000 block of North Central Expressway and kept going. No one was injured. A short time later, just north of Hall Street in Dallas, the driver of the Murano crashed head-on into a tan Toyota Camry.
