Ciara Jackson, 18, of Cedar City, was driving south when a tire on her Ford Ranger failed about 8:30 a.m. Jackson steered hard to the right and her pickup rolled. She was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced deceased at the crash site.
According to Kansas State Troopers, Damon Wilson of Howard was driving a pickup when he attempted to pass another vehicle shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday on K-99. A tire ruptured, causing Wilson to lose control and the pickup to roll several times. Wilson sustained fatal injuries, while two passengers ages 17 and 18 were airlifted to Wichita for treatment. Cory Stokes, 18, was driving westbound on Cedar Grove Road in a 2001 Honda Accord late Saturday afternoon when his car went off the right side of the road, overcorrected, causing it to go off of left side of the road into a field. Police say the right front tire blew on the car, causing the car to roll over. Stokes was ejected through the sunroof and killed.
