One person is dead after a hit and run accident in Bucks County.
The crash happened at Jacksonville Road and Industrial Drive in Warminster around 6:30 a.m. on Monday.
Police say a pedestrian in her 50's, later identified as Christine Witte 51, was struck by a vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver reportedly left the scene of the crash. Police are trying to determine if a vehicle found at a nearby train station is the striking vehicle. It has been towed from the lot for further investigation.
A 71-year-old woman was killed Wednesday in a single-vehicle crash in Washington County.
The Washington Co. Coroner said Joyce Elaine Emerick, of Marianna, was driving her Chevy Blazer on Little Daniels Road in North Bethlehem Township when she crashed at 11:30 a.m.
Emerick's SUV went off the road, hit an embankment and rolled over, the coroner said. She was taken to Washington Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 12:37 p.m.
Emerick's cause and manner of death have not yet been determined.
State police in Washington are investigating.
One person was killed during a fiery crash between a tractor-trailer and a car in Northampton County Monday morning.
The accident happened shortly after 8:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 78 in Glendon, Pa.
According to investigators, at least one person was killed after a ShopRite tractor-trailer and a car collided. Authorities say the car was trapped underneath the tractor-trailer and a fire started as a result of the crash.
It was not immediately known if the deceased was in the tractor-trailer of car.
A suspected DUI hit-and-run crash left an off-duty police officer hurt overnight and at least three people in custody.
A car full of four men heading down Haverford blew through a red light at the corner of 57th Street in West Philadelphia and collided with a car driven by an off-duty officer around 2 a.m., according to Philadelphia Police.
The officer suffered injuries to his leg and back and is expected to be OK, according to police.
