A Ridgefield man caused a second crash after he allegedly tried to film the scene of a fatal crash while he was driving. Devin Braithwaite, 19, was driving a 2011 Dodge Charger south on Interstate 5 near the Northeast 179th Street Friday night when he approached the scene of an earlier fatal crash. Earlier in the evening, Sergey A. Bondarchuk, 18, of Vancouver lost control of a 1997 Acura sedan and struck a tree. He was declared dead at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. While passing the scene, Braithwaite tried to record the scene with his cell phone.
A Vancouver man was killed late Friday in a single-car accident on Interstate 5 north of Vancouver, according to the Washington State Patrol. The WSP reported that Sergey A. Bondarchuk, 18, was driving a 1997 Acura sedan south on I-5 at 11:27 p.m. when he lost control while attempting to change lanes.
