According to police, Kenneth Collins Jr ,40, and Matthew Rutherford, 33, were killed in last night's crash. Rutherford was traveling east on Highway 18 in a pickup truck when he crossed the center line and struck a Jeep heading west in the far right lane.The truck struck the vehicle head on. Rutherford was declared dead at the scene, Collins later died of his injuries. The passenger in one of the cars was airlifted to a hospital in LIttle Rock with a broken shoulder and head injury.

The crash happened on Blake Street at 13th Avenue late Monday morning. Alice Wooley, 73, of Pine Bluff died; Anetra Wyatt and Floyd Wooley both sustained injuries and were taken to a Pine Bluff hospital for treatment.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AR -- A teenager has died in a single vehicle accident. Cody L. Farley, 17, died in the Sunday evening crash. It happened around 6:30 near River Rd., just outside of Redfield. Farley, who was a passenger in the backseat, was thrown out of the vehicle. He was unresponsive when emergency crews arrived and immediately taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where he later died. The driver was identified as William Cook, 26. His sister, Kimberly Cook was also in the vehicle.

A blown tire caused a logging truck to lose control and spill its cargo onto a group of construction workers, killing two and injuring 19, state police said Tuesday.

Investigators look over the scene of a double fatality accident Monday, June 2, 2014, in Clinton, Ark. Officials said a log truck lost control and slid onto a bridge under construction killing two and injuring more than 20 workers on the bridge.

A Mountain View woman was killed Sunday afternoon when her vehicle ran off the road and hit a tree in Stone County, authorities said.

Karen R. Morris, 60, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet south on Arkansas 9 about 7 miles south of Mountain View when the vehicle veered off the highway in a curve and hit the tree, according to an Arkansas State Police report. It happened at 2:50 p.m.

Morris died from unspecified injuries.

Conditions at the time were described as clear and dry.

A Tuesday afternoon truck accident in Drew County left a Texas man dead, the Arkansas State Police said.

Arthur Jean Wade Jr., 52, of Farmers Branch, Texas, was driving an International truck west on U.S. 278, west of Arkansas 277 near Monticello, when the truck ran off the road, hit some bushes and came to a rest shortly before 3 p.m., according to a preliminary state police accident report.

Wade was pronounced dead at 4 p.m. by Drew County Deputy Coroner Larry Scroggins, according to the report.

A motorcyclist was killed and a passenger hurt Sunday night when the vehicle veered into a ditch and then hit a tree, police said.

About 8:15 p.m., Christopher Bennett, 44, of Ozark was riding a 2013 Harley Davidson north on Arkansas 23 about 5 miles south of Ozark in Franklin County when he failed to negotiate a curve in the highway, according to an Arkansas State Police report.

Authorities say the motorcycle crossed the median, went into a ditch, traveled a short distance and then hit a tree.
