Albert Matthew Cox was riding a moped north on N. Third St. when he was struck by Susan Tumidaj, 39, as she was turning on to the street. Cox sustained severe injuries and passed away on January 6th. Tumidaj was taken into custody and charged with DWI, hit and run, driving with a revoked license, and failure to yield.

At about 10:00am, Tramposch attempted to make a left turn from North French onto Campbell Boulevard, but failed to yield and struck a dump truck driven by William K. Wheeler, 58. Tramposch sustained serious injuries, and had to be rescued from his crushed pickup truck, but Wheeler was not injured. Investigation of this accident is ongoing; check back for updates as more information is released.

The 86-year-old Newport News man was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. McPherson was charged with failure to yield the right of way.

A man was killed following a three-vehicle crash in Marion County Thursday afternoon. Troopers from the Marion post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the crash at about 2:30 p.m. on Pole Lane Road, south of Patten Pike, in Marion Township. According to troopers say a 2004 Ford Expedition, driven by Sarah El McDonald, 30, of Caledonia, was traveling north on Pole Lane Road behind a 2011 Ford Focus. A the same time, a 1977 BMW R75/7 motorcycle, driven by Alfred T. Deitrich, 69, of Marion, was traveling south on Pole Lane Road.

Miami Police say a three-year-old who was thrown from a car Tuesday evening was not restrained when the accident happened. A three-year-old child was thrown from the SUV involved in this accident and later died. According to the accident report, the Tahoe, driven by Kayden's sister, Kierra Lee, 19, failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign which caused a crash with a silver Cadillac. Police said if the child had been properly restrained in a car seat, he would not have been thrown from the car and most likely would have survived the crash with his sister.

Sheriff's authorities say two people on a motorcycle have died in a collision with a minivan in Portage County. The two people on the motorcycle have been identified as Alexander Reeder, 21, and Katherine Axlen, 20. Both are students at the University of Wisconsin-Steven Point. The crash happened just before 5 p.m. Monday on Highway 66 in the Town of Linwood. Investigators say the minivan failed to yield the right of way and the motorcycle struck the vehicle. The two people on the bike were pronounced dead at the scene.

A two-vehicle crash sent one person to the hospital in critical condition Sunday afternoon, according to police. MPO James Cason with the Virginia Beach Police Department said the crash happened just before 3:30 p.m. in the 4400 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard. A Toyota 4Runner was traveling eastbound when it was struck by a Pontiac Grand Am and rolled several times. The driver of the Toyota was extricated and transported to a local hospital.

A 38-year-old man driving on a suspended license struck and critically injured a pedestrian with a van Tuesday night in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, police said. The man was driving a 2000 Dodge van north on Pulaski Road about 8 p.m. when the vehicle hit the pedestrian crossing the street at the intersection with Van Buren Street, police said. The pedestrian, a 34-year-old man, was not in the crosswalk at the time of the incident, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, according to police.

One person was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon on the Eastern Shore. A spokesperson with the Virginia State Police said the accident happened around 2:50 p.m. in Temperancville. Anaya said a motorcycle was headed south on Route 13 when a Chevrolet Suburban came onto the roadway from Saxis Road, into the path of the motorcycle. 52-year-old Corlas Dorel Dennis was thrown off the motorcycle and suffered major injuries. Nightingale was called to the scene, and Dennis was taken to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Maryland, where he later died.
