In the morning, a 15-year-old boy who ran a stop sign didn't stop for an officer, and instead led police on wild chase, damaging property such as fences and mailboxes along the way. Eventually the teen crashed into a tree and the vehicle caught fire, leaving the police who were chasing him to rescue him from the vehicle. As of now, the teen is still in the hospital, and charges against him are pending.

Authorities said a passenger in the car suffered critical injuries while the driver suffered serious injuries. Three people in the SUV had serious injuries, but they are expected to survive. The SUV driver was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

A Kansas City man is dead after a wrong-way crash Friday night on Interstate 70 and Highway 40. Police said before 11:30 p.m. a Silver Chevy Malibu entered the highway from an exit ramp and was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-70. A semi-trailer truck was traveling east on I-70 and was unable to avoid the car resulting in a collision. Police said the driver of the car who was impaired by alcohol is in critical condition at an area hospital. According to police, the passenger, 35-year old Karl Silvey, died at the scene. The driver of the semi did not suffer any injuries.
