Tulsa, OKQuinton resident James Cook, 50, is deceased after crashing his utility-terrain vehicle near Lake Eufaula on Friday at approximately 9:30 p.m. Cook and two passengers were riding on a beach about two miles south of Crowder when Cook lost control of the vehicle. Cook was ejected from the UTV after it rolled on its passenger side. Cook died at the scene. The two passengers, Jared Howell, 34, and Christopher Hoffman, 38, were not injured in the accident.

Tulsa, OKThe OHP report states a 2002 Honda TRX 500 driven by James Votaw, 18, of Inola was eastbound when he lost control on a curve, went off the road throwing both him and his passenger, a 16-year-old girl off the ATV. The OHP report said Votaw was driving at an unsafe speed at the time of the crash. Troopers said neither Votaw or the teen were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.

Sherman, TX-Ada, OKA Wilson man died Tuesday in Carter County when an all-terrain vehicle he drove was struck by a tractor-trailer, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports. Cory Murfin, 28, was killed on U.S. 70 at Oak Creek Road just west of Lone Grove about 8:50 p.m., the patrol reports.
