OHP: Claremore Teen Critical After Rogers County ATV Crash

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Claremore teenager is in a Tulsa hospital in critical condition after an ATV she was riding on crashed on a Rogers County road Wednesday afternoon.
The OHP report states a 2002 Honda TRX 500 driven by James Votaw, 18, of Inola was eastbound when he lost control on a curve, went off the road throwing both him and his passenger, a 16-year-old girl off the ATV. The OHP report said Votaw was driving at an unsafe speed at the time of the crash.  Troopers said neither Votaw or the teen were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
