An unidentified driver was likely speeding when they were eastbound on Lake Road and left the roadway at the intersection with Cornwall Road. The car first struck a concrete wall before rotating and crashing into a house, where it flipped upside-down and caught fire. The driver was killed, and has been difficult to identify due to the severity of their burns. One person was in the house at the time, but they were uninjured. The 12-year-old girl who died in a rollover crash in Carlisle is Kimberly Colyer. The accident occurred when a minivan with four occupants was heading south on Union Road at a high rate of speed and lost control. The minivan hit a railroad crossing arm at the Norfolk Southern rail crossing and rolled onto its side in the side yard of a home on Gladys Avenue. The 12-year-old girl was pronounced deceased at the crash site; one person was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton; and the other two occupants were transported to Atrium Medical Center in Middletown.

It was about 6:50 p.m. when Canton Division Fire Chief Kerry Ball, 54, was riding his customized motorcycle to the north on Lawrence Road, and he departed the roadway and struck a guardrail. Ball was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigation continues to determine the cause of this accident; check back for updates.
