Phoenix, AZA Phoenix man is dead after his SUV was rear ended by another vehicle overnight in Phoenix.
Police spokesman Officer James Holmes said 47-year-old Christopher James Kutcher died after the SUV he was driving was hit from behind by a drunk driver.
Holmes said around 1:30 a.m. a 33-year-old Michelle Nicole Ayers was driving a Chevy Blazer in the eastbound lanes of Cactus Road near 40th Street when it collided with the rear end of a Ford Expedition that was traveling in the same direction.

Phoenix, AZA woman in her 20s was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing a road in Peoria on Wednesday evening, officials said.
Peoria police say the woman was crossing Cactus Road near 73rd Avenue at about 6:30 p.m. when she was struck by a truck that was making a left turn into a driveway.
Impairment did not appear to be a factor for either party, but authorities said an official determination will be made during the investigation.
Cactus Road will remain closed in both directions from 67th to 75th Avenue for several hours, according to authorities.
