A father of three has been killed in a car crash in the city.

Police say 42-year-old Morris Webb was injured when another vehicle ran a red light at about 1:15 a.m. Saturday and struck Webb’s car as he drove on Legion Parkway. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver and the passenger in the other vehicle also required hospitalization. The driver of the other vehicle was a 25-year-old Brockton man.

Authorities say the crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed.

A crash in Lawrence County has claimed the life of a Jayess man.

According to officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol, 54-year-old David Jefferson lost control of the propane truck he was driving. The truck flipped several times, and Jefferson died on the scene.

The crash happened just after 1:00 Saturday afternoon on Mississippi 27 South, just south of Mississippi 44. Jefferson was not wearing a seat belt.

The truck was owned by Magee's Gas Company out of Monticello, according to MHP. The investigation continues.

More than half a dozen motorcycles were involved in a wreck that shut down the eastbound lanes of Highway 64 Saturday afternoon.

The accident blocked Highway 64 between Edgemont Road and Lizard Lick Road for almost two hours.

The Highway Patrol says a group of about 60 motorcycles were heading eastbound when an item fell off a boat being towed. That set off a chain reaction crash.

Troopers say one rider was seriously hurt and rushed to WakeMed.

A small plane believed to be carrying five people crashed into a reservoir in southwestern Colorado and authorities say all are feared dead.

The single-engine Socata TBM700 was flying from Bartlesville, Okla., to Montrose, about 180 miles southwest of Denver, when it went down Saturday, a Ouray County spokeswoman said.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor said the crash occurred just before 2 p.m., but he didn't yet know its cause.

Rescue efforts started in the afternoon and were suspended shortly after sundown until Sunday morning, officals said.

A 20-year-old motorcyclist dead Saturday in a two-vehicle crash at U.S. 301 and Sally Lee Drive, authorities said.

A Buell motorcycle driven by Adam Bookhamer of Lakeland was traveling northbound on U.S. 301 shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Martin Hopkins, 64, of Ellenton was driving a 1985 Jeep hauling a trailer carrying a boat west on Sally Lee Drive.

The Jeep attempted to make a left turn to U.S. 301 and entered the path of the motorcycle, a FHP news release stated. The bike collided with the trailer.

Oregon State Police troopers are continuing the investigation into Saturday evening's critical injury motorcycle crash that occurred on Highway 99W about one mile south of Dundee in Yamhill County. The operator's name and other information will be released Sunday.

At about 6:50 p.m. Saturday, a motorcycle operated by a male, later identified as Curtis M. Peterson, 24, was southbound on Highway 99W near milepost 28 and failed to negotiate a curve. The motorcycle traveled off the highway and the operator was ejected, coming to rest in a grassy area adjacent to the highway.

A 25-year-old man suspected of driving while intoxicated was arrested at the scene of a two-vehicle collision that killed a woman.

Danny Sandoval was arrested about 3:20 a.m. Saturday in the 1500 block of East Loop Freeway after his Jeep struck a gray Honda accord, police said.

Sandoval was not injured, but the Honda driver was killed, and her male passenger was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Houston Police Department spokesman John Cannon said.

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash at northbound Interstate 5 and state Route 78 in Oceanside Saturday morning, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The 55-year-old rider from Carlsbad was speeding on I-5 about 9 a.m. when he appeared to make a hard right as though he was attempting to transition onto the eastbound SR-78, said CHP Officer Jim Bettencourt.

The Harley-Davidson Sportster hit dirt in the transition, lost control and crashed into a guardrail. The motorcyclist, whose name was not released, died at the scene.

The U.S. Naval Academy says a midshipman has died after a skateboarding accident last weekend. Academy officials say 20-year-old Hans Loewen of Hampstead, N.C., died Saturday while in a coma at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with his family by his side. Loewen was injured in a skateboarding accident March 22 while on a camping trip with other midshipmen at Assateague State Park. He was treated at the scene and then taken to the Baltimore trauma center.

A 57-year-old man has been found dead after an accident involving an all-terrain vehicle in eastern Iowa's Muscatine County. Authorities say sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a rural Letts property just before 9 p.m. Saturday. They found the body of 57-year-old Randy Tomfeld at the scene of the crash. The accident is being investigated.
