Wilmington Police are investigating a motorcycle accident that seriously injured two people Saturday night. Police say a motorcyclist struck a pedestrian and a parked car before being ejected from the bike. The accident happened at 23rd and Market Streets just before 10:00 p.m. The victims were taken to Christiana Hospital with serious injuries. The accident remains under investigation.

Police say a New Hampshire man crashed into three police cruisers, causing minor injuries to two Salem officers. Police say they found 30-year-old Luis Figueroa passed out in the front seat of a running car stopped on a road in a condominium complex on Friday night. When the officer woke him, police say he sped off, hitting several parked cars, before driving head-on into a police cruiser, pushing it back about 15 feet. Police say he hit two other cruisers as he tried to get away.

A 61-year-old woman has died after she and her 32-year-old daughter were struck by a hit-and-run driver in Santa Monica early Saturday morning. A vehicle struck the two pedestrians around 1 a.m. on the 1600 block of Ocean Avenue, just south of Seaside Terrace as they were crossing the street, Santa Monica Police said. The pair were not crossing the street at a crosswalk, officials said. According to police, the vehicle fled without stopping. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a silver sports coupe with tinted windows. The suspect has been described as a Caucasian male.

One person was airlifted to a hospital Saturday morning after a two-car wreck in Loxahatchee, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said. The wreck happened at about 5:45 a.m. at Southern Boulevard and Flying Cow Road, west of Binks Forest Drive, said Capt. Albert Borroto, Fire Rescue spokesman. Two people were injured. One patient was flown to Delray Medical Center by Trauma Hawk, Borroto said. The other was taken by ambulance to Palms West Hospital in Loxahatchee with minor injuries.

Asheville police said one person is dead after a crash involving a moped and a car. Officers said the collision happened at 9:50 p.m. Friday on Patton Avenue at Mimosa Drive. Police said Graham Smith Shepley, 26, of Asheville, was operating a moped that was traveling east on Patton Avenue. Officers said Dimitiry Vasil Stynka, 34, also of Asheville, was driving a 1981 Oldsmobile sedan. Police said the sedan collided with the moped when the car began to turn left on to Mimosa Drive. Investigators said Shepley died at the scene. At this time, no charges have been filed.

A pilot was killed and two teens were injured after a small single-engine plane from Chicago crashed in the median of a six-lane street in Florida early Saturday morning.

The plane was traveling to St. Pete/Clearwater Airport from Chicago when it crashed around 4 a.m. on McMullen Booth and Enterprise Road in Pinellas County, officials said. It came to rest mostly in the median of the six-lane street.

There were three people on the plane at the time of the crash, according to authorities.

The Okeechobee County Sheriff's office made a surprising discovery recently after deputies responded to a single vehicle accident.

The crash happened on March 21st in the 168th block of Highway 441 North.

Deputies found the driver of the car, Abey DiazPino, age 44, dead at the scene. The sheriff's office then turned the investigation over to Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP responded to 1185 NE 342 Trail in Okeechobee to notify the victim's family.

Cale Drumm, 39, of Stillwater, was driving a 1967 Ford Mustang on McMurtry Road west of Stillwater shortly before 6:45 p.m. Friday when he ran off the right side of the road. Drumm then swerved left, sending the car into a broad slide, troopers reported. The car then ran off the left side of the road, striking a tree.

Troopers reported Drumm was driving at an unsafe speed at the time of the crash. He was transported to OU Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 9:21 p.m. Friday.

Aubrey Baty was driving east in the westbound lane of I-40 near Czech Hall Road shortly before 11:30 p.m. Friday when he struck a semi truck driven by Humberto Ortego Jr., 64, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Baty, of Mustang, was pinned for a half hour before Oklahoma City firefighters pulled him from the wreckage, troopers said. He was transported to OU Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

A father died in a crash in Waverly Friday evening.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says 35-year-old Brad Hilton lost control of his SUV while maneuvering a curve along Meadow Run Road around 7:30 p.m. The vehicle went off the road and overturned.

Hilton was not wearing a seatbelt. He was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.

Hilton's 15-year-old daughter survived the crash. She was flown to Nationwide Children's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
