Students at a Placentia school are mourning the loss of their classmate, who died after being hit by a minivan while skateboarding. Authorities say the accident happened in the area of Bastanchury Road and Secretariat Way on Sunday just before 5 a.m. Logan Wells, 16, was riding his skateboard near the intersection when he was hit by a Kia Sorento. The driver of the minivan pulled over and called 911.

Police have released the name of the driver who died in a two-vehicle crash in Grandville Sunday evening. Darin Post, 18, died from head trauma after a Ford F-150 and a Volkswagen Beetle collided in the intersection of 44th St. SW and Ivanrest Ave. SW around 7:15 p.m., police said. Police are investigating after a 19-year-old woman was struck and killed while skateboarding in North Miami Beach Sunday. The incident happened just before 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Northeast 23rd Avenue and Northeast 137th Street, North Miami Beach Police said. The victim, who was struck by a white Ford sedan, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver stayed on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said. Officials later identified the teen as Jacqueline Elizabeth Postrel-Jambor.

Maryland State Police say a Pennsylvania man has died after a car traveling the wrong way on Interstate 70 hit a pickup truck head-on. Police say a Pontiac Bonneville was traveling westbound in eastbound lanes of I-70 near Hancock on Sunday night when it collided head-on with a Chevrolet Silverado. The driver of the Pontiac, 50-year-old Larry Allen Martz of Mayport, Pa., was flown to Meritus Medical Center, where police say he was later pronounced dead. The three people in the truck were treated on the scene and released.

A 16-year-old was seriously injured after falling from a mountain board, similar to a skateboard, while being pulled by a vehicle in Ashburn, Va., Sunday. Another 16-year-old was driving the vehicle, which had a rope tied to the rear, in the parking lot of Broad Run High School. That teen has been charged with reckless driving. The victim, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Inova Loudoun Hospital and was later airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital. Last year, another Virginia teen died in a similar incident.

A woman has died following a crash in Jamestown Township Sunday morning. Investigators were called to the 2200 block of Riley Street in Jamestown Township, near Zeeland, at around 12:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found a 62-year-old woman dead inside of her car. The woman’s car hit a tree, but because there was such minimal damage to both the car and the tree, investigators on scene believe the woman may have suffered from a medical condition, causing her death and not the crash.

A woman is dead after being involved in a head-on crash Sunday morning. The crash happened just after 12 a.m. on Wise Road, near Shear Road in Eureka Township. Police said a 34-year-old woman from Greenville was killed when she lost control of her car and hit a car that was being driven by an 18-year-old woman. The 18-year-old woman was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, but she is expected to survive. Investigators believe alcohol played a role in the crash.

The family of a Berks County man is offering a reward for information on the hit-and-run accident that left him seriously injured.

21-year-old Mark Stitzer said the motorcycle crash left him in a back brace and destroyed his motorcycle.

It happened March 22nd on 9th Street in Reading.

Stitzer says the driver of a dark blue, four-door sedan in the left lane cut him off and his motorcycle started to skid.

Stitzer slid about 15 feet before his head slammed into the tire of a parked car.

An 89-year-old San Jose woman died Saturday from head injuries after a bicyclist collided with her in a walkway on the campus of San Jose State University early Thursday, authorities said Thursday.

The woman was identified as Ching-Tsun Nee, who died of cranial cerebral injuries when she hit her head on the ground after the bicyclist struck her, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office.

A single-vehicle crash Saturday, March 22 claimed the life of a Vinemont man.

Pedro Toledo Romero, 21, was killed when the vehicle in which he was a passenger left the roadway and struck a tree. The crash occurred at 1:43 a.m. on Cullman County 463 three miles west of Cullman.

Romero was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the Alabama Department of Transportation.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
