Students at a Placentia school are mourning the loss of their classmate, who died after being hit by a minivan while skateboarding. Authorities say the accident happened in the area of Bastanchury Road and Secretariat Way on Sunday just before 5 a.m. Logan Wells, 16, was riding his skateboard near the intersection when he was hit by a Kia Sorento. The driver of the minivan pulled over and called 911.
The family of a Berks County man is offering a reward for information on the hit-and-run accident that left him seriously injured.
21-year-old Mark Stitzer said the motorcycle crash left him in a back brace and destroyed his motorcycle.
It happened March 22nd on 9th Street in Reading.
Stitzer says the driver of a dark blue, four-door sedan in the left lane cut him off and his motorcycle started to skid.
Stitzer slid about 15 feet before his head slammed into the tire of a parked car.
An 89-year-old San Jose woman died Saturday from head injuries after a bicyclist collided with her in a walkway on the campus of San Jose State University early Thursday, authorities said Thursday.
The woman was identified as Ching-Tsun Nee, who died of cranial cerebral injuries when she hit her head on the ground after the bicyclist struck her, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office.
A single-vehicle crash Saturday, March 22 claimed the life of a Vinemont man.
Pedro Toledo Romero, 21, was killed when the vehicle in which he was a passenger left the roadway and struck a tree. The crash occurred at 1:43 a.m. on Cullman County 463 three miles west of Cullman.
Romero was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the Alabama Department of Transportation.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
