A Wednesday morning school bus accident sent 18 people including students to Memphis hospitals. The crash happened at Winchester Road and South Goodlett Street, near Lamar Avenue. Memphis Fire Department says at least five ambulances were called to the accident that happened just before. 7 a.m. Students that were hurt had minor injuries and were taken to hospitals, including Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.

Two adults and two children were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries following a car crash on Trout Brook Drive in West Hartford that severely damaged both cars involved, according to police. Police said 18-year-old Nhi Phan was driving southbound on Trout Brook Drive in the area of Fern Street around 10:40 Wednesday morning when she lost control of her vehicle, which slid into the northbound lane and struck a car driven by Erik Beard, 41.

Three pedestrians, including two children, were injured in an accident in the parking lot of Walmart in the Panorama City area Tuesday. A Los Angeles City Fire Department official says two cars collided in the parking lot of Walmart in the 14500 block of Roscoe Boulevard at about 11:25 a.m. The crash caused one of the vehicles to hit three pedestrians. The victims were transported to a local hospital. An 8-year-old boy was in critical condition, a 37-year-old man was in serious condition and a 9-year-old girl was in fair condition.

Eleven people in a sport utility vehicle were critically injured in a crash that occurred at Berta Road and Shelby Drive on Tuesday night. At least two of the adults were taken to the Regional Medical Center at Memphis in critical condition. Eight children were taken to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital where they were being treated and assessed, according to Le Bonheur spokeswoman Sara Burnett.

A New Albany woman, later identified as Karen Davis, 52, died Monday afternoon in a head-on wreck on Old Ind. 403 in Charlestown. The woman was southbound on the Clark County road about 2:30 p.m. when her car and another car collided near the Danbury Oaks subdivision, said a detective with the Charlestown Police Department. A 28-year-old Charlestown man who was driving the other car, a Buick, had his four-year-old son with him at the time of the collision.

Six Hartford Union High School students were injured Monday when a school bus left a snow-covered road and crashed into a tree, according to City of Hartford Fire and Rescue. The students were being driven home when the crash was reported about 4 p.m. on Valley Road in Dodge County, according to a news release. According to the release, roads were snow-covered and slippery, and the bus driver reported near whiteout conditions at the time of the crash. The injured students, among 10 students on board the bus, were taken to a hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.

A tire blowout caused a violent crash near the Almaville Road exit on I-24 in Smyrna early Sunday morning. State troopers say the driver lost control of the vehicle when it happened and veered into a guardrail. Two adults and two children were taken to Vanderbilt. The victims' injuries are not considered life-threatening.

A three-vehicle accident in Tooele County left three people dead and six injured on Sunday afternoon. A van carrying seven people in a youth church group from Dugway to Salt Lake City attempted to turn into the passing lane of S.R. 36 in Stansbury Park, shortly before 3:30 p.m., when another vehicle clipped the back bumper, sending the van into oncoming traffic, according to Trooper Evan Kirby of Utah Highway Patrol. A red Subaru then struck the passenger side of the van.

Oswaldo Lopez, the man accused in the hit-and-run death of an 11-year-old boy on Federal Boulevard, was charged Tuesday morning with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal accident. Lopez, 21, has been in jail since Sunday night, when he was arrested at his home in Aurora. Several people were in the Denver courtroom to support Lopez, but all declined to comment.

A Buffalo teen suffered non-life threatening injuries early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run incident on Kensington Avenue. Although the driver initially left the scene, he turned himself in a short time later at the E District station house on Bailey Avenue and was issued a summons for leaving the scene of an injury accident. He was not identified. The incident occurred about 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Kensington Avenue where the 16-year-old was attempting to cross. The male victim was transported to Women and Children’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
