A New Albany woman, later identified as Karen Davis, 52, died Monday afternoon in a head-on wreck on Old Ind. 403 in Charlestown. The woman was southbound on the Clark County road about 2:30 p.m. when her car and another car collided near the Danbury Oaks subdivision, said a detective with the Charlestown Police Department. A 28-year-old Charlestown man who was driving the other car, a Buick, had his four-year-old son with him at the time of the collision. Both were treated at the scene then released, police said. Police continue investigating which driver crossed the center line, police said, adding they’re hoping toxicology results from both drivers and the Buick’s on-board computer will provide more information.
