Authorities say two Canadians died when their motorcycle crashed in the Tampa Bay area.

Largo police say Gilles Michaud and his passenger Mona Dube, both of New Brunswick, were riding on a 2009 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic three-wheel motorcycle Thursday afternoon when they struck a raised median.

Police say they were taken to Bayfront Medical Center, where both were pronounced dead.

Three people have been reported injured in a three-car crash in Greenacres, at Dillman Road and S. Jog Road, a Palm Beach County Fire Rescue spokesman reports. The crash happened about 7:15 a.m. One person’s injuries were serious enough for the person to be flown to Delray Medical Center’s trauma unit. Another person was taken to Wellington Regional Medical Center, Borroto said. The cars have been towed and the road is cleared.

A crash involving a daycare van sent several children to Pasco hospitals. It happened on State Road 56 at the intersection with Mansfield Boulevard. Florida Highway Patrol troopers say the driver of the Kids-R-Kids daycare van tried to make a left turn onto Mansfield Boulevard, and drove into the path of another vehicle. That vehicle hit the van, which fell over onto its side. Twenty-four children were on board the van at the time of the crash. Troopers say eight children had minor injuries, and two were taken to area hospitals for evaluation.

The St. Augustine Police Department is investigating a early morning crash that left a man dead after police say he was thrown from his scooter after hitting a downed power pole. St. Augustine police said a vehicle was traveling along South Ponce de Leon Boulevard near King Street in St. Augustine and hit a power pole. The power pole was knocked onto the ground across the roadway. Shortly after, a man riding a scooter hit the pole along South Ponce De Leon Boulevard and was thrown from the scooter.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a wreck early Friday morning involving a church van on the U.S. 90 ramp to Interstate 75. Columbia County Fire-Rescue reported that two adults, later identified as Jeff Novak, 52, and Michalanne Salliotte, 42, were killed and three children were injured, one of them critically. The van crashed about 8:20 a.m. when a tire blew out and the vehicle overturned. The driver and the second adult victim were thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. It wasn't clear of they were wearing seat belts.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue teams responded to a car accident Thursday in which a dump truck carrying dirt rolled on top of a vehicle.

The accident happened at CR 39 and Highway 672

Officials say the male occupant became trapped in the vehicle and a heavy rescue unit was called in to assist. It took just over one hour to extricate the person and he was taken to a local trauma center via medical helicopter with serious injuries.

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating the cause of the accident.

Jupiter police continue to investigate a crash in which a vehicle hit a man crossing Indiantown Road Thursday night, sending him to the hospital with critical injuries, a police spokesman said Friday.

The crash happened at 7:45 p.m. when an eastbound vehicle hit the man as he crossed Indiantown Road at Hepburn Avenue. Paramedics called to the scene found bystanders performing CPR on the man, said a Palm Beach County Fire Rescue spokesman.

The injured man, whose name has not been released, was flown by Trauma Hawk to Delray Medical Center.

Three people were injured after a rollover accident involving a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office vehicle in suburban West Palm Beach. The accident happened around 4 p.m. at the intersection of Kirk Road and Summit Boulevard. Police say three cars were involved in the crash, including a sheriff's office cruiser that ended up on its roof. Three patients were transported to an area hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be serious. The deputy driving the marked unit had a K9 which was not hurt.

A man in his 50s is in critical condition after he was struck by an SUV while riding his bicycle in Fort Pierce Thursday morning. The SUV involved in the crash did not stop. According to St. Lucie Fire Rescue, the man was riding his bike on 25th Street near Orange Avenue around 10:10 a.m. when he was hit. Fort Pierce Police officers are investigating the crash. There is no information on the driver of the vehicle or description of the SUV at this time.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating the cause of a deadly crash of a motorcycle trying to avoid hitting a garbage truck early Thursday morning in Mandarin. Police said a Waste Pro garbage truck was pulling out of the Village Green complex of townhouses at 6:35 a.m. when a motorcycle southbound on Old St. Augustine Road went down trying to avoid hitting the truck. The motorcyclist, 25-year-old Robert Bentley III, died at the scene of the crash.
