The driver, Augusta Tolley, lost control attempting to exit onto the 348 ramp on I-75 in Catoosa County. The SUV traveled from the west emergency lane to the median and struck the guardrail. The vehicle overturned and Tolley was ejected. Both Tolley, 17, and her passenger, Jessica Goldsmith, 18, were taken to Erlanger Medical Center with injuries.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, Juan Ocompto, 18, was killed after being ejected from the vehicle. Ocompto died at the scene. GSP officials say the driver was going too fast for conditions when he lost control and the 2002 Ford Explorer overturned. Four people were riding in the vehicle.

Deputies say Megan Kessler, a special education teacher at Effingham High School, and her mother, Marlys Stempke of Allenhurst, were traveling in a van along Old Augusta Road shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday when a pickup truck crossed into their lane, killing both women. Kessler leaves behind a husband, two sons and an infant daughter.

According to Effingham County Sheriff's Office Spokesman David Ehsanipoor, "Initial reports indicate the driver of the 2013 Hyundai sedan was traveling northbound on Georgia Highway 21 when she struck a guard rail causing her vehicle to flip several times."

Orange paint marks what happened seconds before Thursday's crash on Old CCC Camp Road. Four teenagers, two boys and two girls, were riding in a truck just before 5:00 when it lost control and rolled at least once. When it rolled over, it hit Bryan Bartley cutting his grass on a mower.

A serious crash involving a Haralson County school bus and a pickup truck left at least 16 people injured Thursday morning. The accident took place on Highway 120 near Buchanan. The Georgia State Patrol said a Dodge pickup truck driven by a 17 year old female was traveling west on Highway 120 towards Tallapoosa when it crossed the centerline and struck the school bus head-on. Haralson County authorities at the scene stated that they transported 14 students and the school bus driver to Tanner Higgins Hospital in Bremen with minor injuries. Fire Chief Brian Walker said none of the students suffe

A Locust Grove High School student was killed as a result of an accident that happened due to inclement weather conditions. Authorities say the incident occurred on Coan Road, just east of Willow Creek Drive in McDonough when a pickup truck, driven by 17-year-old Nash Beever, struck a tree. The white Ford Ranger, which was also occupied by four other people, left the roadway around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

A Baldwin Middle-Senior High School student is on life support after a crash near the Florida-Georgia border Monday. According to the Georgia State Patrol, 17-year-old Richard Baer was on a hunting trip with three friends in Charlton County, Ga., when their car drove off Stokes Road and hit a tree. Baer was taken to UF Health Jacksonville. Troopers said Baer and his friends were near St. George, Ga., when the car they were riding in moved off the shoulder of the road and hit a tree.
